How to get to Frankfurt airport from the city center

Frankfurt airport is 12 km far from the city center. It is possible to reach the aiport through two of the most heavily used motorways in Europe that are A3 and A5. The connection by train is also very good. Let’s have a look at the option to reach the ariport by train or by bus.

It is very easy and fast to get to Frankfurt airport by train. There are two train stations. You can get to the center in 11 minutes using the lines S8 and S9. The destination will be the main train station in Frankfurt. There are trains available every 15 minutes. The first train is at 4.17 am and the last one at 1.32 am. The cost of the single ticket is 4.95 euro. From the train station located under Terminal 1 you can also get to other major German cities.

Outside the Terminal 1 there are different buses that can lead you in different part of the city. It depends on your final destination. Another way to get to the city center from the airport is by taxi. There are taxi available 24/7. If you go from the city center to the airport is better to give to the taxi driver the name of the airline company so that he can lead you directly to the right terminal.
