Blue Panorama received a fine for fraudulent activity

The Italian Arline company received a fine of one million euros because of its fraudulent activity against the passengers. After many complaints the Italian authorities have fined the airline but it looks like that they didn’t stop their activity. Read more to discover what happened.

After several complains from the customers the Italian authorities discovered the fraudulent activity of the airline company Blue Panorama. They forced the passengers to pay for extras before getting on the plane with the excuse that without paying they would have never taken the flight. This happened very often especially in the last months.

They applied penalties to the passengers. There are different cases like: pay for a new ticket to be able to take off, a fee of €50 per route, in case of incorrect registrations of the passengers’ names. This was really concerning because the passengers had to pay before flying even if they had missed a letter in the name. Other companies allow the passengers to change the misspelled names for free. Furthermore, the other companies always provide in advance the need of paying extras for something wrong in the details.

The Italian authorities have analyzed the bad conduct of the airline company that forced the passengers to pay for extras just before getting on the plane without any chance for them to complain. We all know that when we book a flight ticket and we are boarding we just want to take off and arrive to our destination. This has been forbidden to some passengers that for a situation or another had to pay an extra or, in the worst cases, to pay for a new ticket.

The investigations show the clear aim of increasing business revenue with this policy adopted by Blue Panorama. Additionally, in some cases you can clearly see that the website of the airline company is not really clear. The discrepancies in the name between the passengers’ documents and the ticket is because of the airline’s online purchase system. Many passengers have reported that there is no enough space available for inserting all names and surnames of the passengers. The airline company started to force the passengers in paying even if there was a middle name missing.
